The Eagle Creek 440 Trail in the Columbia River Gorge is a classic Oregon hike and is a place I have spent a number of days and nights over the past many years.

As has been said before, Spring is slow here, so when the opportunity arises to avoid a downpour and step out for an overnight stomp, you gotta go . . . so we did.

Here we celebrate both the bright glow of Spring color and its amazing and subtle undertones.
